My Savior's Love (Piano Duet)

$6.00

A solid statement of “Man of Sorrows” introduces this arrangement, setting the stage for the triumphant militaristic character of verses 1 and 4 of “My Savior’s Love.” Portraying the distress in Gethsemane, the music for verse 2 transitions into the parallel minor and an emotional primo part solo. The duet resumes in verse 3, gaining intensity to reflect the agony of the crucifixion scene. Back in the major key, the chorus is at first quietly meditative then builds to the march-like, resurrection-celebrating fourth verse. The final chorus is a combination of styles from the rest of the duet.

Included in the download file is the full score and performance notes with lyrics.  Although both parts are for advanced pianists, the primo part is somewhat more difficult than the secundo, containing the more lengthy arpeggios.  Permission for 2 copies of the PDF is granted, as long as the second copy is used for home rehearsal only.
